Reassess your Lifestyle
Because these therapies treat the whole person and not just any one symptom, it is important that you consider your lifestyle when overcoming a stress related condition:
Simple changes: Organise some free time in your day to relax or meditate, Julie can suggest techniques that can be incorporated into your everyday schedule.
Bigger changes: Positive changes may need to be considered in the workplace.
Reassess your relationships with others and any negative influence these may have on your life.

Exercise
It is vital to use up all the extra energy that your body produces when under stress. However, many of us do not have the time or desire to go to the gym. Try taking simple regular exercise, this will help you sleep soundly at night and make you feel more energetic. Walking, swimming, cycling and dancing are great stress relievers.
Eat Well
A good diet is essential to achieve good health. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, preferably raw, as well as pulses, grains, wholemeal bread and rice. Increase your fluid intake and try to drink at least 2 litres of water each day. Avoid drinking too much of this amount in the evening, it will make your kidneys work hard late at night and you may have a disturbed night getting up and going to the bathroom.
Avoid deep-fried foods and all processed foods, which are low in nutrients and contain high levels of salt, saturated fats, artificial flavourings and preservatives. These, as well as too much refined sugar, can help weaken your immune system. Try to eat locally grown, organic food.
Sleep
A good healthy sleep pattern can improve your quality of life. Some people need more or less than others, but 7-8 hours is usually enough. Reiki, Meditation, Reflexology and/or Indian Head Massage are wonderful therapies for improving your quality of sleep.
Meditation/Mindfulness
If you find it difficult to unwind and calm your mind, try meditation or mindfulness. You can contact Julie, join a local group, purchase a book or look up guidance on the internet.
Reiki supports meditation and meditation supports reiki, these two relaxation techniques work very well together, creating a peaceful mind, body and spirit.
A Healthy and Happy Lifestyle
If you are tired out by the pace of life and suffer from any kind of stress related condition, then try Reiki, Meditation, Reflexology and/or Indian Head Massage to restore your health and sense of well-being. You will find that in combination with a good diet, regular exercise and quality sleep - you will feel more energetic and positive, your relationship with yourself and others will improve and generally you will feel happier and healthier.
All it takes is a desire to take control of your life!
